AI Age Detector (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what we process, why, for how long, where, with whom, and what choices you have when you use our app.
1) What We Process
Images you submit
You can upload a photo to get an age (and optionally mood) estimate. The image is transmitted securely to our compute environment only to generate the result.
Derived Face Data
To produce a result, the system computes non-identifying facial data from your image (e.g., facial landmarks/geometry/embeddings). We do not perform identity recognition, user profiling, or face matching across photos.
Diagnostics & app telemetry
Limited technical data to keep the app reliable (e.g., crash/error logs, performance metrics, device type, OS version). No advertising identifiers; no behavioral tracking.
2) How We Use Data
- Core functionality: Generate the age/mood result from the provided image.
- Diagnostics: Detect, investigate, and fix crashes or reliability issues.
- Support (if you contact us): Respond to your inquiries.
We do not use images or face data for advertising, marketing, or any form of use-based data mining, and we do not use them to train models.
We do not sell personal data or face data.
3) Face Data Disclosures
Retention
Images and face data are not retained after processing. They exist only during the active request (typically under 10 seconds) and are deleted immediately once a result is returned.
Reason for temporary retention
Face data is held ephemerally in memory only to compute your requested result and ensure reliability (e.g., in-request retry). No analytics, no model training, no marketing.
Length of time & justification
Duration: For the duration of the request only (about 10 seconds); never beyond completion.
Why: That’s the minimum needed to generate and deliver the result.
Third parties we share face data with
Cloud processor: Amazon Web Services (AWS) acts as our data processor to provide secure compute infrastructure. Images and face data are transmitted to AWS only to fulfill your request.

To securely run the computation and return your result with high availability and performance.
Do third parties store face data?
We do not permit or instruct AWS to store images or face data beyond the transient compute involved in completing your request. We configure our workloads to avoid writing images or face data to any persistent storage (e.g., S3, EBS, databases). AWS provides the infrastructure and security controls; we control how your content is handled in our workloads.
4) Data Deletion
- Server-side: Images and derived face data are deleted immediately after processing.
- On your device: Any saved result images live only on your device until you delete them in the app or via your device photos manager.
- Diagnostics: Crash logs/performance metrics are kept 30 days for troubleshooting and service quality; they never include your images or face data.
5) Security
- Encryption in transit: All communications use HTTPS/TLS.
- Access controls: Restricted, least-privilege access in our cloud environment.
- Minimization by design: We avoid retaining images/face data and limit diagnostics to what’s necessary for reliability.
AWS provides physical and infrastructure security; we configure and operate our workloads securely (shared-responsibility model).
6) Third Parties
- Infrastructure provider: Amazon Web Services (AWS), used solely to process your request and deliver results. We do not integrate advertising SDKs.
- If we work with any other service provider in the future, we will require equal or stronger privacy protections and will update this Policy before use.
7) Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent age of consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we’ll promptly delete it.
8) International Transfers
Our servers may be located in the United States or Singapore. By using the app, you understand your data may be processed there. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
9) Your Choices & Rights
- Don’t upload images if you don’t want them processed.
- Delete on-device results at any time from within the app or your device gallery.
- Contact us to request access/deletion regarding diagnostics or support data (we typically can’t access images/face data because we do not retain them).
If you are in the EU/UK or other regions with similar laws, you may have rights of access, correction, deletion, objection, or portability for any personal data we hold (generally limited to diagnostics/support). Contact us to exercise these rights.
10) Legal Bases (EU/UK)
- Consent: When you initiate an upload, you consent to the temporary processing of your image and face data to obtain the result.
- Legitimate interests: Maintaining app reliability and security (diagnostics), balanced against your privacy with strict minimization.
11) Prohibited Uses (Facial/Depth Data)
We do not use facial/depth mapping data for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining, nor allow third parties to do so.
12) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect operational or legal changes. We’ll post the update here and revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted in-app or via other appropriate notice.
