Welcome to SpeakForge ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
We built SpeakForge with a Privacy-First architecture. Unlike other AI language apps, our core artificial intelligence engine runs locally on your device. This means your voice recordings and speaking data are processed instantly on your phone and are not sent to our servers for analysis.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Voice & Audio Data (On-Device Only)
The App requires access to your device's microphone to function.
- How it works: When you speak, the audio is processed in real-time by the AI engine installed directly on your device.
- Privacy Guarantee: Your voice recordings never leave your device. They are not uploaded to the cloud, not stored on our servers, and not shared with third parties. All grading and analysis happen offline.
2.2. Usage Data
To improve the App's stability and performance, we may collect anonymous, non-personal usage data, such as:
- Device type (e.g., iPhone 14 Pro Max)
- Operating system version (e.g., iOS 18.2)
- Crash reports (if the app closes unexpectedly)
- General interaction data (e.g., which packs are most popular)
2.3. Purchase Information
We use RevenueCat and Apple In-App Purchases to handle payments.
- We do not process or store your credit card information.
- Apple handles all financial transactions securely.
- We only receive a receipt token to verify that you have purchased a specific pack or subscription.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data solely for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: Processing your speech to generate Band Scores and feedback (done locally).
- To Improve the App: Using anonymous crash data to fix bugs and optimize performance.
- To Manage Purchases: Verifying your access to premium content (via RevenueCat).
4. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party services to help us operate the App. These parties only have access to the information necessary to perform their specific tasks:

5. Data Security
Because your sensitive voice data is processed locally, it benefits from the inherent security of your own device (e.g., FaceID, Passcode). We do not maintain a database of user audio recordings, making it impossible for such data to be leaked from our side.
6. Children’s Privacy
SpeakForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since our AI processing is offline and we do not require account registration, we do not store personal data of any minors.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g., GDPR in Europe, CCPA in California), you have rights regarding your data:
- Access & Deletion: Since usage data is anonymous and voice data is stored locally on your device, you can "delete" your data simply by uninstalling the App. This removes all locally stored scores and recordings instantly.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
