1. Our Core Philosophy: Offline-First
DevPrep AI is architected to protect your privacy by design. Unlike other AI tools, our core technology runs locally on your device. We do not have access to your microphone recordings, interview answers, or grading scores.
2. Information We Collect
A. Audio & Voice Data
The app requests access to your device's microphone to simulate interview scenarios.
- Usage: Your voice is processed in real-time on your device using a local neural network (Whisper) to generate transcripts and feedback.
- Storage: Audio files are stored temporarily in your device's local file system.
- No Cloud Uploads: Your voice data is never uploaded to our servers, third-party AI APIs, or cloud storage. It remains strictly on your phone.
B. Usage & Progress Data
We store your interview history, scores, streaks, and completed questions locally on your device using secure storage. If you delete the app, this data is removed permanently from your device. We do not maintain a copy of this data.
C. Purchase Information
We use RevenueCat to facilitate In-App Purchases and subscriptions.
- When you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives an anonymous App User ID and the transaction receipt from Apple to validate your purchase.
- We do not have access to your credit card information, billing address, or real name. All financial transactions are handled securely by the Apple App Store.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to improve the app experience:
- RevenueCat: For managing In-App Purchases and subscription status.
- Cloudflare R2: For delivering static assets (AI Models and Question Packs) to your device. This service logs basic IP address information for security and bandwidth monitoring but does not access user data.
4. Children’s Privacy
Our application does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Since all data processing is local, we do not maintain user profiles for any age group.
